Dr. Dadvand performs the majority of his gynecomastia surgeries under anesthesia, be it intravenous sedation or general anesthesia. Gynecomastia surgery is an outpatient procedure that does not require a hospital stay. For this reason, the surgery can be safely performed in an outpatient surgery center. Dr. Dadvand is credentialed at several surgery centers in Los Angeles. This allows flexibility in scheduling for his patients to ensure that they can coordinate their surgeries more easily around their work or school schedules. Dr. Dadvand’s office staff works closely with patients to ensure that the preparation leading up to surgery is smooth and stress free. On the day of surgery patients arrive an hour prior to the scheduled start time. Once the surgery is completed, patients recover at the surgery center for approximately an hour. An important note is that patients must be picked up from the surgery center after the surgery. They are not permitted to drive or be placed in a taxi after having had sedation or general anesthesia.
